one week

i'm actually writing from my apartment for the first time since i've been here... it's still SUPER hot in our apartment; we haven't gotten new fans yet. today at 5 we have a "living in Siracusa" session and we get gelato so i'll be going haha. today i had class from 9-130 but after tomorrow i'm done for the week. liz and i are thinking about going to the aeolian islands (http://www.thesicilianexperience.co.uk/aeolian.html) which are supposed to be really cool so hopefully that'll work out. we are trying to plan things to get out of Catania for the weekends because other than going out (which is pretty much what everyone here (at least in our program) likes to do) there isn't that much else to do on the weekends. especially when things are closed all day on sundays.

i made it a week here! it's hard to believe that i'll actually be LIVING here for nearly four more, but i'm sure it will go by fast with all the stuff liz and i are planning and classes. anyway, not too much exciting stuff has happened today. i'll post some pics from liz's apartment and a pic of the delicious arancina!
