today was a pretty normal day. coffee and croissant, school, lunch, school, then off to the rocks with jeff. after laying out for a while in the intense breeze-less heat, i came back, showered, and fell asleep for about two hours... when i woke up i made some pasta with parmesan cheese and ate with the roomies. at 8:30 i headed over to the school to meet the tour guide for the puppet show. in italian, though, it's il teatro di pupi... the guy was going on and on in the museum about the pupi. we're all about to be seniors pretty much and are giggling... ridiculous. so anyway, the puppet museum was a lot cooler than i expected it to be. the musuem was really interesting and the show was so detailed. it must be really difficult to maneuver those puppets all around and orchestarate them perfectly with the other puppets... it's crazy. the 45-minute show was entirely in italian (FAST italian, at that), so i didn't catch much, but it was basically a story of a damsel in distress and a night in shining armor. a kid from finland sat behind us and he spoke english. (and swedish, but i didnt know any to tell him... all i could do was try to sing that ridiculous bag in a box song... he didn't get it) there was actually another couple of ladies from california, which was pretty crazy. so many english-speakers in a tiny little room. what are the odds? anyway, so right now i don't know what the plans are for the weekend. i'm probably going to the beach tomorrow with some friends, which would be relaxing. but i got a little red today soooo i need to definitely use a lot of sunscreen.
